On the Air

Well, we're back on the air one more time and today's show is the season finale. It's amazing to me to think that Texoma Sports Weekly has been broadcasting for six seasons.
And I'm a little sad also, because this will be J.B.'s final show as a regular member of the crew. The guy is getting married in July and he's moving to St. Louis. Sports fans in the area, please note that you're going to miss him, his calls of Savage Storm and Lion sports and is general sports knowledge. He's also got a great sense of humor that shows in the way he calls the game.

Now, on today's show, the theme (as it is every season finale) will be reviewing sports in the area over the past 9-10 months. We'll hit some current sports news as well. So tune in at 10 am.

On the Air

Three hosts are in studio again today as April moves forward.
Lots of rain and wind yesterday shouldn't deter Southeastern softball and baseball fans from coming out on this pleasant Saturday to watch their teams jockey for position in the Lone Star Postseason. There are the lead stories for the show today; here are some more:

I think I held down the fort well enough last week. But everyone is back in studio again today as the sixth season of Texoma Sports Weekly is slowly starting to wind down.
Today on the show:
► Some Bryan County baseball and other H.S. news
► Southeastern baseball and softball
► The Championships – Men (and a little bit about the Women)
► The Dallas Mavericks are now tied for sixth place in the West! Seriously!
► The Texas Rangers on Friday not only led the A.L. West, but were the only team in the American League to be undefeated. Of course, that changed after Friday’s beatdown by Detroit, but still…
► And off-the-wall topics with J.B.

On the Air

Hey folks, it's going to be just me in the studio on Saturday. J.B. and Jim are going to be on the road to Edmond to cover the SOSU/Central baseball game.
So here is what's on tap for the show:

► The Final Four – Men’s and Women’s

► And, since J.B. won’t be in studio, we’ll see if we can skirt the Tennesee trash talk for a week.…But I doubt it…

On the Air

This weekend, it is possible that all three of us will be back in studio for the show. And hopefully, the tower won’t be down again. Although, word is that there’s a chance of snow. (On March 28? In southern Oklahoma?!)
Anyway, here are some of the topics we’ll likely talk about:
► Southeastern softball, specifically the Lone Star Crossover Tournament here in the Durant area
► Southeastern baseball
► The NCAA Tournament, especially the Missouri win over Memphis and Oklahoma’s takedown of Syracuse
► Billy Gillespie
► The Mavs playoff chances and likelihood of playing the Lakers in the first round
► And, since the state of Tennessee, and city of Knoxville in particular, has not been beaten down by J.B. in at least three weeks, expect that to happen on this show.

After the long drive back from Canyon, we'll be back on the air from the friendly confines of the studio this morning.

Last Show of 2008

Well, we had the final show of 2008 this morning and of course J.B. had all of the goofy Christmas bumpers, which we all love, ready for the breaks. We always start with the dogs barking Jingle Bells. A new one this year was the "Christmas Macarena".
Billy Sims even found his way into the opening sequence. Boomer!!
If you missed us this year, don't worry. We'll be back on the air on Saturday, January 3rd, at 10 am.

Not On the Air

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. J.B., Jim, and I won't be on the air this weekend because we'll all be celebrating the holiday.
I'm sure, however, that there will be quite a few posts about the week in sports. You may even be interested in checking out my other site The Crest to see if I'm able to get something up over there, too.

We’re back on the air this weekend and everyone will be in studio.

On The Air

OU kicks off in College Station at around 2:30 on ABC on Saturday, which means the normal Saturday morning lineup will be intact again this week.
Of course, we'll be talking about the final week of the high school football season and the huge Ardmore-Durant matchup for the final playoff spot in District 5A-2. And the Best Small College Rivalry in the State of Oklahoma as East Central comes to town to meet Southeastern. Go ahead and pencil in all of the heat that I will take over the Fulmer resignation at Tennessee.
And I would be shocked in J.B. didn't mention Ryan Leaf

Possibly back on the air

After being gone (on Southeastern trips) and being preempted (for early OU broadcasts) we’re finally back on the air this weekend. Texoma Sports Weekly is set to be back at its usual time – Saturday mornings at 10 am on KSEO 750 AM.
Of course, this is all subject to another early OU kickoff...
