Rock Creek Tournament - Day Two

Lady Eagles' Game 4

Day Two of the Rock Creek Tournament saw the Lady Eagles drop their first game of the season, 50-30, to Boswell and fell to 3-1. And as bad as the score looks, that's how bad Victory Life looked on the court.
Victory Life will play the loser of the second semifinal, Rock Creek vs. Durant JV, on Saturday.
The Lady Scorpions held VLA to single digits in scoring in three quarters and the Lady Eagles never really got on track. Cailee Jones was the only player in double figures for Victory with 10 points. Lizzi Needham and Cassadi Jones each had 6. The nine three-pointers made in Thursday's win were a distant memory; VLA made only one on Friday.

Eagles' Game 4

The Eagles got back on the winning track on Friday with a 58-43 victory over Rock Creek's junior varsity. The close score was not really indicitive of the game as VLA played everyone who suited up. The Eagles are now 3-1 in 2008-09.
Victory Life will face the winner of the Boswell/Durant J.V. game in Saturday's consolation championship.
A pair of sophomores led the way for Victory. Dayton Booth, who transferred from Rock Creek in 2007, topped all scorers with 19 and Cameron Roesler put in 13 points. Trey Weatherly also had 10 for the Eagles.
